It's the fourth of February, and I'm telling you how it ended.
I managed to save the incredible amount of (snare rolls)..
61 Euros!!
It was really a challenge as I tried to buy only what I really needed -- and I've learnt I need a few things.
I used to buy 3-4 CD a month, and end up listening once to each one.. I didn't buy any CD in January and instead listened to a couple of ones I already had. I discovered some great things!
Desiré, Abraxas and Spirits Having Flown.
I also managed to eat better at school; I was used to drink a Coke and a trashy snack each morning, now I buy an orange juice with a healty croissant. I also save about 0.2€
All in all, this month i learnt how to save money and how to organize my financees -- let's hope to do it the right way in the future!
By the way, the aim of all of this was to buy a Sony RH1, the last Hi-MD device ever built.. in the previous post you canr ead why I love this.
So you may be thinkin' ''When you gonna buy it?''.
I am askin' myself the same question and can't get no satisfiyng reply.
Probably I won't buy it.
Why?
Well, I already have a nice recorder, the Sony NH900 and I'm not in the need of another recorder. I'm planning to record a gig in April and two in May, so..
I also have bought a new mobile phone, a Nokia 5230, and I use it as an mp3 player when I get the bus on my way home Iy's an excellent phone, I don't kind of the camera (''only'' 2 megapixels) or not having Wi-Fi (there are no spots here!!), it has GPS and it's touch-screen.. I was very sceptic about this, but at the end it's a great thing and now I can text long and difficult messages with ease. Next step is to subscrive to a mobile Internet connection.
So you can see I have no reasons to buy the RH1..
Instead I'll use the money in one of those 3 ways:
1. continue to save (which I'll do for sure) money to add to those 61€
2. put them on a PC I'm buying
3. save for a Line6 Pod XT
At the moment I'm favouring the last option.. man, the Pod XT is fabolous!! I can get a lot of great tones.. I'll keep you updated of my choice.
In the meantime, let's have a smokin' 10 minutes break with Ahmad Jamal:
